Privacy Policy
Updated: October 23, 2026
1. Scope and interpretation
This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes the collection, use, retention and disclosure of Personal Information in connection with the website located at omou.si (the “Website”) and inquiries and related correspondence directed to Omou. References to “Omou,” “we,” “us” or “our” identify the business operating under the name Omou. “You” and “your” refer to the individual whose Personal Information is concerned, whether acting in an individual capacity or on behalf of an organization.
For purposes of this Policy, “Personal Information” means information relating to an identified or identifiable individual, to the extent protected as personal information, personal data or an equivalent category under applicable law. The nature and extent of the information processed depend upon the interaction concerned; the categories described below do not imply that every category is collected in respect of every individual.
This Policy addresses the Website and associated inquiries. Where a separate agreement or legally required supplemental notice governs information processed in the performance of an engagement, that agreement or notice applies to the relevant processing. Nothing in this Policy displaces any obligation imposed by applicable law.
2. Categories and sources of Personal Information
We collect Personal Information that you provide in communications with us, together with technical information generated in connection with access to and operation of the Website. Relevant categories include:
Identification and contact information. Names, email addresses, and other contact or identifying particulars voluntarily included in an inquiry or subsequent correspondence.
Professional and inquiry information. Organizational affiliations, professional roles, descriptions of proposed work, business requirements, and other information provided to explain an inquiry or evaluate a prospective engagement.
Correspondence and associated records. The substance of communications, attachments and materials supplied by you, delivery and correspondence details, and records reasonably necessary to document, evaluate and respond to those communications.
Technical and connection information. Internet Protocol addresses, browser and device information, request and access details, and related network, diagnostic and security information processed in connection with delivery, operation and protection of the Website.
Information may be received directly from you, from a person corresponding with us on your behalf, or through service providers involved in the communications or Website interactions concerned. We do not require visitors to provide information unrelated to their inquiry. If you provide information concerning another individual, you should have an appropriate basis for doing so and should limit the disclosure to what is relevant to that communication.
3. Purposes of processing
Personal Information is processed to the extent reasonably necessary for the interaction concerned and for the following purposes: receiving and responding to inquiries; evaluating prospective engagements; maintaining related communications and business records; making the Website available; administering, maintaining and protecting its operation; diagnosing technical difficulties; identifying, preventing and responding to unauthorized activity, fraud or security incidents; fulfilling applicable legal obligations; and establishing, exercising or defending legal rights in connection with a specific matter.
The foregoing purposes do not authorize the use of Personal Information for an unrelated purpose without any notice, consent or other legal basis required by applicable law. The provision of information in an inquiry does not, of itself, constitute consent to advertising communications or to processing for purposes unrelated to the inquiry and the purposes described in this Policy.
4. Categories of recipients and circumstances of disclosure
Personal Information may be disclosed to the following categories of recipients, to the extent relevant and necessary for the stated purpose:
Operational service providers. Providers supporting Website delivery and operation, communications, technical administration, information security and related service functions. Such providers may receive information directly in the course of delivering their services or process information on our behalf. Certain providers also process technical information for their own service administration, security and legal obligations.
Professional advisers and parties to a legal matter. Legal advisers, courts, dispute-resolution bodies and other persons involved in a specific claim or proceeding, where disclosure is reasonably necessary to obtain advice or establish, exercise or defend legal rights.
Public authorities and persons legally entitled to disclosure. Regulatory bodies, law-enforcement authorities or other recipients where disclosure is required by applicable law or valid legal process, or is otherwise lawfully necessary to investigate or address fraud, unlawful activity or a security incident.
Recipients designated by you. A person to whom you specifically request or authorize disclosure, subject to applicable law and any rights of other individuals.
The identification of a conditional disclosure above does not mean that such a disclosure occurs routinely. A provider's independent obligations do not relieve Omou of responsibilities applicable to information processed on its behalf.
5. Cookies, similar technologies and cross-site collection
Technical information may be processed through ordinary network communications and through cookies or comparable mechanisms used for service delivery, functionality, security or abuse prevention. The operation and duration of any such mechanism depend upon its function and the circumstances in which it is used. Browser controls may permit you to restrict or remove cookies; doing so may affect Website functionality or security checks.
Omou does not sell Personal Information or disclose it for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising. Omou does not use the Website to track individuals across unaffiliated websites for advertising purposes.
Third-party providers involved in Website operation and security may collect Personal Information concerning online activity over time and across different websites or online services, including technical identifiers used for service operation, network protection and abuse detection.
The Website does not alter its information-handling practices in response to a browser's “Do Not Track” signal. Signals communicating an opt-out of sale or targeted advertising do not change the absence of those activities. Any additional obligation imposed by applicable law in respect of a legally recognized preference signal remains applicable.
6. Retention
Personal Information is retained for the period reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, taking into account the nature of the inquiry or relationship, the continuing need for correspondence and records, applicable legal obligations, and the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.
Retention is not determined solely by the date on which a communication was first received. Information may remain relevant to an ongoing discussion or engagement, or be subject to a specific preservation requirement. Information that is no longer necessary for the applicable purposes is subject to deletion or other appropriate disposal.
Retention and deletion practices extend to records maintained on our behalf. Separate operational records maintained independently by providers, and residual copies in backup or archival systems, may be subject to different retention periods or deletion cycles. These distinctions do not create an exemption from any applicable deletion obligation.
7. Requests concerning Personal Information
You may direct inquiries concerning this Policy, or requests to review, obtain access to, correct or delete Personal Information concerning you, to hello@omou.si. Please provide sufficient information to identify the relevant correspondence or interaction and the action requested. An identity document is not required when initially submitting a request.
We may request information reasonably necessary to verify identity or authority, clarify the request, locate relevant records, or avoid disclosure of information relating to another person. Where an authorized representative submits a request, verification of the representative's authority may be required to the extent permitted by applicable law.
We will consider and respond to requests in accordance with applicable requirements. A request may be fulfilled in whole or in part, or declined, where a lawful exception applies, the necessary identity or authority cannot reasonably be established, or the information is not held by us or on our behalf. Where a request is declined or limited, we will provide an explanation to the extent required by law, including any applicable right and method of appeal.
Rights of access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection or appeal depend upon the law applicable to the individual and the processing concerned. This Policy does not represent that every statutory right applies in every jurisdiction or circumstance. Nothing in it restricts an applicable right, permits prohibited discrimination for exercising a right, or extends a legally prescribed response period. Requests concerning the sale of information may also be directed to the email address above, notwithstanding that Omou does not engage in such sale.
8. Security and confidentiality
No method of transmission, storage or communication can be represented as entirely free from the risk of unauthorized access, loss or misuse. Accordingly, this Policy does not constitute a representation that any communication or information is invulnerable to such risks. This statement does not exclude or diminish any duty to maintain safeguards, provide notification or take remedial action required by applicable law.
You should limit initial communications to information reasonably necessary to describe the matter concerned. Information subject to a duty of confidentiality or requiring special handling should not be transmitted until an appropriate arrangement has been established. The mere receipt of unsolicited material does not override an existing confidentiality agreement or any confidentiality obligation imposed by law.
9. Geographic processing
The Website and the services supporting it may involve the processing of Personal Information in more than one jurisdiction, including jurisdictions outside your place of residence. Applicable legal protections may differ between jurisdictions. Where a transfer is subject to legal conditions or safeguards, those requirements remain applicable. Access to the Website is not, by itself, treated as consent to a transfer for which the law requires a separate basis or specific authorization.
10. Children
The Website and Omou's services are intended for an adult audience and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under thirteen years of age. If we become aware of such collection, we will take the steps required by applicable law, including deletion where required. A parent or guardian may notify us of a concern at the contact address stated in this Policy.
11. External websites and independent relationships
This Policy applies to processing within its stated scope. A link or reference to an independently operated website does not extend this Policy to that website. Likewise, a relationship you establish independently with another organization is subject to that organization's applicable notices and obligations. This provision does not exclude responsibility for processing undertaken on Omou's behalf.
12. Amendments and contact
We may amend this Policy to reflect changes in relevant practices or legal requirements. The revised Policy will be made available on the Website and will identify its effective date. Material changes will also be notified by a reasonably prominent notice on the Website before the change takes effect, with any additional notice or consent required by applicable law.
An amendment does not authorize a use of previously collected Personal Information that is materially inconsistent with a prior representation where applicable law requires additional notice, consent or another condition that has not been satisfied.
All questions, concerns and requests concerning this Policy should be directed to Omou at hello@omou.si.
